International Symposium on Marine Forest to Be Held

Fisheries Resources Enhancement Center, NFRDI holds an international symposium on marine forest at BEXCO, Busan, Korea on November 12, 2010. The symposium will be attended and presented by international experts from Korea, Japan and China.

The presenters will especially touch on topics like the whitening event and construction of marine forest and try to explore measures to recover fisheries resources.

Among the presenters are Dr. Yoon Jang Taek from Korea and Dr. Kirihara Shinji from Japan, each of whom talks about the whitening event of each country, Dr. Kim Young Dae from Korea and Dr. Taino Seiya from Japan who will present on the construction of marine forest and Dr. Shaojun Pang from China who will introduce about development of seaweed farming in China.

NFRDI hopes that this symposium will play as an opportunity to raise international awareness of Korea\'s marine forest project and as a momentum for the success of the project.
