The National Institute of Fisheries Science (NIFS) signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation in the field of fisheries science with the National Directorate of Aquatic Resources (Dirección Nacional de Recursos Acuáticos: DINARA) at Montevideo, Uruguay on October 12.

DINARA has shown its interest in cooperation in sustainable fisheries, fisheries resouces management, aquaculture technology enhancement and other areas, and the MOU between the institutes was arranged to be held in Uruguay in line with the promotion of hosting the World EXPO 2030 in Busan.
