NIFS found the scattered emergence of deadly poisonous jellyfish in the seas of Jeju Island in the early of June. The emergence information is provided in real-time on NIFS’s official website (www.nifs.go.kr) or its jellyfish report website(www.nifs.go.kr/m_jelly/).
When stung by jellyfish, you must remove yourself from the water and rinse the affected skin with clean seawater or saline, not tap water which can make more stingers fire. If the pain worsens, check in with your health care professionals or keep the affected skin immersed in hot water (43 to 45℃) until the pain eases. |
